Causey, a village in Roosevelt County, New Mexico has seen its population rise and fall over the decades. Things were looking particularly bleak by the 2,000 census, with a total population of 52, it marked the third straight decade of declining or stagnant numbers. But over the next ten years the population doubled and, as of 2016, was holding steady. I imagine this resurgence is due to the establishment of a dairy near the edge of town.
