Old House 97
In the movie Gone With the Wind, the O’Hara’s plantation is centered around a grand mansion designed by a professional architect, in the book, it’s a rambling collecting of additions, stemming from the original shack. The book is the more accurate representation of how successful families housed themselves, back in the day.
The house above is no Tara, but the success is just as evident, the original homestead, an addition, and another addition. Today, people are much more likely to bulldoze the old place and build a new one.
