(Santa Fe New Mexican) Santa Fe resident and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Cormac McCarthy is alive, despite a rumor Tuesday morning on Twitter about his demise.
The untruth gained momentum after USA Today sent a “breaking tweet” saying McCarthy, 82, had died of a stroke. Within an hour, USA Today backtracked and said the information was wrong.
