Old House 95

 
This may be the quintessential house of Eastern New Mexico's homesteading era.
A lot of them went up with wood siding, such as the one above, but if you look closely, you can see the remains of a layer of stucco clinging to parts of the structure.
Stucco, as we know it today, was just coming into vogue around the time the
settlers came pouring in and turned out to be the perfect thing to keep the wind out.
