Enclosed Tankhouses

An old one
You don't find that many old, enclosed tankhouses around my corner of the Southern Plains.
Today we found one on each side of the Curry/Roosevelt County line. I assume they were both in Roosevelt, until 1909 when Curry was carved out of Quay and Roosevelt Counties.
The are both wood frame, covered in stucco. I suspect the one on the left to be the older one.
Some of them look a little like lighthouses in the distance. You just never know what's out there, until you get out there.
