Vintage Gasoline Pump: Vega, Texas

Legend has it, that in the early days of automobiles, there were a lot of unscrupulous gasoline dealers who sold a product contaminated with dirt, tadpoles, and the such. In an effort to win customer trust, many companies featured a pump with a glass globe on top, which the pure gas would bubble through, showcasing the product's purity. I have no idea if this is true or not, but that's the legend.
